AccessoryFit uses Google Tag Manager to load measurement tags, such as Google Analytics, that count visits and show which pages are read. Those tags can set cookies and send Google details of your visit. The site has no accounts, comments, newsletters or forms that collect personal details. The web host keeps standard server logs, and Amazon may set its own cookies if you follow a product link. This page explains each of those in turn.

What information does the site collect?
The site does not ask for your name, email or any account details: the pages are static and there is no sign-in, newsletter or comment system. What it does collect is measurement data, described below, plus the standard server logs. The accessory finder runs in your browser: it loads its list of tool models once, and your choices are not sent to the site as a form. The finder does add your choices to the page address so a result can be shared, and page addresses are among the things analytics records.
How does the site use Google Tag Manager and analytics?
Every page loads Google Tag Manager, a Google service that loads the site's measurement tags, such as Google Analytics. These tags record things like the pages viewed, how a visit arrived (for example from a search engine), the device and browser type, approximate location derived from the IP address, and how long pages are read. They use cookies or similar browser storage to tell one visit from another. The data is used in aggregate to see which guides are useful and which need work. It is not used to build advertising profiles on this site, and AccessoryFit does not sell it.
Google processes this data under its own terms and privacy policy. You can limit or block it: most browsers can block third-party cookies or tracking scripts, content blockers stop Google Tag Manager from loading, and Google offers a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics. The pages, charts and tools all work with these blocked.

What do the server logs record?
Like almost every website, the server that delivers these pages records basic request details: the IP address the request came from, the date and time, the page or file requested, the browser's user-agent string and the referring page if your browser sends one. The hosting provider keeps these logs to run the service, diagnose faults and protect the server from abuse. They are not used to build profiles of visitors, and they are not shared for advertising.
What happens when you follow a link to Amazon?
Buyer guides, and some how-to and troubleshooting pages, contain links to Amazon US product listings. When you follow one, you leave AccessoryFit, and Amazon may set cookies in your browser so it can credit any qualifying purchase to this site under the Amazon Associates programme. From that point Amazon's own privacy notice and cookie policy apply. AccessoryFit does not receive your name, address, payment details or the contents of your basket; Amazon reports commissions to the site in aggregate.
On pages with product entries, product images are loaded from Amazon's image servers. As with any image request, those servers receive your IP address and browser details when the image loads. Apart from Google Tag Manager, its measurement tags and these product images, the site's fonts, scripts and styles are served from its own domain.

Will this policy change?
If the site adds advertising or any feature that collects more information, this page will be updated before the change goes live, and the date above will change. The affiliate disclosure covers how the site earns from Amazon links.
