Where do product links appear?

Only in product entries, as a button that leads to the product's Amazon US listing. Product entries appear in the buyer guides and on some how-to, comparison and troubleshooting pages that suggest an accessory for the job; any page that contains product links says so under its headline. The compatibility guides, reference charts and interactive tools carry no product links. Every product link is marked in the page code with rel=sponsored, the attribute search engines ask publishers to use for paid and affiliate links.

Product selection and the purchase are separate. Fit criteria: The guide defines what the task requires. Model match: The listing must match the specified product. Current purchase details: Check price and availability on Amazon.
The guide does not show live prices or invent product-testing scores.

Do affiliate links affect which products are listed?

No. Products are chosen on their published specifications against the needs of the job before any link is added. A product that meets a guide's requirements stays in it even when it has no Amazon listing, and is marked as not currently listed on Amazon US. The guides do not rank products, and the commission rate on a product plays no part in whether it appears. The rules are set out on the methodology page.

Those rules are applied by the editorial team, which writes and checks every guide.

Does the site have any other income?

No. The site runs no advertising, sells nothing directly, and does not accept payment or free products from tool or accessory makers. Amazon commissions are the only income.

How the site is run, and who it is written for, is covered on the about page.

How a product link can support the site. Published comparison: A guide first compares the required specifications. Amazon listing: A labelled link leads to the product listing. Qualifying purchase: Amazon may credit a commission to the site.
Affiliate income does not replace the specification-based selection process.

Why are prices not shown?

Prices on Amazon change often, so any price shown on a guide could be out of date by the time you read it. The link button takes you to the current price on Amazon. Ratings and review scores are left out for a different reason: the site does not test products and does not claim to judge them beyond their published specs.
